The Festival use to be downtown in Oceanside near the pier. Now the last few year it has grown to draw such large crowds it has moved to the historical Mission San Luis Rey.
The festival is a tradition to celebrate the life of your loved ones who have passes away. It is a day of great joy and happiness.

Record crowd! 25,000 people came out to celebrate. They made alters out of the trunks of their old vintage cars, had Folklorico Dancers, music and great food too.
